NIZAMUDDIN AULIYA(R.A)

Hazrat Shaik Khwaja Syed Muhammad Nizamuddin Auliya(R.A) was a one of the famous Sufi saint of the Chishti order in the Indian subcontinent.He was the 4th spiritual successor(Khalifa) of Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti(R.A) of Ajmer(the founder of the illustrious order of Chishti Saints in India).  He was born on19th oct. in the year 1238 in Badayun,Utter Prades east of Delhi. His father Ahmad Badayuni pass away when he was five years old. Then He and His mother Bibi Zulekha came to Delhi. Nizamuddin went to Ajodha(Pakistan) at the of twenty, where he become disciple of Fariduddin Ganjshkar, the Sufi saint is commonly known as Baba Farid.
Nizamuddin continued his theological studies in Delhi, at the same time He carried the Sufi devotional practise and prescribed Litanies. On the month of Ramadan He visited every year in Ajodhan in the presence of Baba Farid. Baba Farid made Nizamuddin his successor on his third visit to Ajodhan. After few days, Nizamuddin came back to Delhi, where he get the news of Baba Farids dead.
In various place of Delhi under the noise and hustle of city life Nizamuddin Auliya(R.A) lived and finally He settle down in Ghiyaspur. From where He spread spiritual education to the people of the city. Nizamuddin Auliya(R.A) had his own Khanqua(quarters), crowded with all short of rich and poor people. He had more than 600 disciples(Khalifa), who have the authority to take there own disciples.
The most famous disciples of Nizamuddin Auliya(R.A) are,
(i) Nasiruddin Chiragh Dehlari  (ii) Amir Khusro (iii) Akhi Siraj Aainae Hind(iv) Burhanuddin Gharib  (v) Jalaluddin Bhandari (vi) Syed Mahmood Kashkinakar (vii) Ajan Fakir.
Many of His disciples reached the spiritual height. Nizamuddin Auliya(R.A) remain bachelor through all his life. After suffering from four month long illness He pass away on the morning of 3rd April 1325. His shrine, the Nizamuddin Dargha which is located in Delhi, visited by all religion of people throughout the year.
